ROI Co., Ltd., which operates one of the largest customer satisfaction improvement platforms in Japan, Fankuru.
(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Keito ) conducts regular consumer awareness surveys for Fankuru members. This time, we conducted an awareness survey on Korean cuisine (990 valid
respondents) from October 11 to October 17, 2022.

It is said that Korean dramas are popular again because of the increased time at home due to the stay home. Will the boom in dramas affect your lifestyle, such as your diet? In the “Survey on Kimchi” (https://www.j-roi.com/news/research/2210kimchi.html), pickles originating from the Korean Peninsula conducted by “Fankuru”, 91% answered that they liked it. In the “Survey on Favorite Cuisine Genres” (https://www.j-roi.com/news/research/genre.html), Korean cuisine is ranked third. This time, we asked 990 fan members (male: 299, female: 691) about the Korean wave boom, especially how Korean restaurants are supported in what age group, and how Korean
restaurants are used. We conducted a survey.
67% of respondents had a favorable impression of Korean food, and 73% said they liked it because it was delicious, and bibimbap seemed to be particularly popular. It seems that many people go to Korean restaurants about once every two to three months, between 17:00 and 19:00. The number of users who make reservations is in the minority, but the result is that many people get to know the restaurant through the reservation site. The menu was the most important factor when choosing a restaurant. Opinions are divided, with 47% wanting to go to a place that is close to the authentic taste, and 45% wanting to go to a Korean restaurant that is arranged for Japanese people. If a new Korean restaurant opens in the future, 59% would like to go there. Summary of survey results
