The 60th anniversary party of San Marzano from Puglia, Italy ended with great success!

90 wine-loving guests who are active in various fields celebrate the 60th anniversary of the birth of San Marzano
From the left, Mr. Salvatore Mr. Alex Mr. Naoko Okusa, stylist San Marzano was founded in 1962 by 19 grape growers in Puglia, Italy. Since then, it has continued to grow and is now sold in 80 countries around the world, and has been deployed in Japan since 2014. The wine that established the name of San Marzano in Europe and the rest of the world is Sessanta Anni (Italian for 60 years. Red wine harvested using traditional methods from a 60-year-old old tree). We are holding an event to celebrate the 60th anniversary of our founding.
Starting with the big birthday festival held in June in Italy, which attracted 4,000 people, on October 14th, 60 at Bvlgari Il Ristorante Luca Fantin private room to share the joy with Japanese fans. We held an anniversary event.
* The three types of signature wines were paired under the supervision of the restaurant’s executive chef, Mr. Luca Fantin. We have reproduced the APERITIVO style unique to Italy.
On behalf of the organizers, Salvatore Ricciardi, Director of San Marzano, made opening remarks, and Alex Endrizzi, Export Manager, said,
“I am delighted to be able to congratulate the people of Japan on this joyful and memorable 60th anniversary. You may have an image that wine is something to be drunk on formal occasions, but it is better to socialize with a glass in one hand. It’s the Italian way. I hope that you will realize that wine is an opportunity to meet new people and create new bonds.”

Mr. Zenta Nishida (executive officer of Magazine House Co., Ltd.), former editor-in-chief of BRUTUS, who represents Japanese editors, will take the stage with Mr. Sara Waka, a Japanese creator born and raised in Milan, and talk about fun episodes related to Italy to 90 guests. It boiled up a lot.
Mr. Zenta Nishida, Mr. Sarawaka, captivating the audience with his lively talk In addition, Karen Yamamoto, who was just appointed as Miss Wine 2022 in September this year, took the stage and talked about her thoughts on wine.
