This time, a new label -PHENIX ARCHIVAL RESEARCH-, which carefully unravels the 70-year history of the brand and reconstructs it in a modern way, will start.
Keiji Kaneko, the fashion director, spearheaded the project with an archaeological approach to the huge amount of past design materials. While looking at the huge amount of past design materials that are the property of the brand, what caught my attention were many distinctive and interesting details in the rapidly changing trends of the ski world. I sensed the emotional charm and effectiveness in modern times in the kind of bleakness that they engendered, and decided on the specific direction of the project.
As materials evolve, so do their functions, and the design and details change accordingly.
In other words, it will be simpler and more solid, with a futuristic mood. In other words, -PHENIX ARCHIVAL RESEARCH- is the answer to the question of whether it is possible to create a collection that captures the loveliness and tedium that are lost as technology evolves.
In the fashion world, trends are said to be spiral. Technology in sports, on the other hand, is linear. As a result of searching for the intersection of the two, which should not have crossed each other, we have completed modern clothing that cannot be found anywhere else.
