With remote work becoming more common these days, paper and digital are still mixed in back-office operations, hindering diverse work styles and improving productivity. The Digital Agency aims to popularize and establish digital invoices based on Peppol through public-private partnerships, and to complete back-office operations digitally.
In addition, when the invoice system comes into effect in October 2023, it will be necessary to respond with qualified invoices, etc. in order to receive the purchase tax credit for consumption tax. Although it is possible to deal with qualified invoices on paper as in the past, by using digital invoices, it is possible to handle invoices as data, which is expected to further promote accounting DX.
Peppol is a standard for digitizing invoices and conducting business on the network, and it has already been introduced in more than 30 countries, mainly in Europe. This time, in Japan, the Digital Agency has formulated and released “JP PINT” as the Japan Peppol Authority. Our company cooperates with the Peppol access point of First Accounting Co., Ltd.
