[Sustainability Action Project implementation background]
Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture, is known as a city of manufacturing, where manufacturing industries such as those related to automobiles are concentrated.
Sustainability initiatives such as SDGs and carbon neutrality are regarded as an indispensable issue as the responsibility of the city, and the city has declared that it will become a zero carbon city by 2050.
On the other hand, the city’s momentum regarding sustainability is still low among the city’s manufacturing companies and the next generation of high school and university students, and the current situation is that there is a lack of opportunities to think about it. In response to this situation, we will implement the “Sustainability Action Project” in order to create the most earth-friendly way of life and corporate activities in Japan.
This project is a program that provides an opportunity to experience the efforts of social entrepreneurs and social impact, and the efforts of advanced business operators for city companies that are active in the current society and high school and university students who will be responsible for the next generation. .
In 2022, we will implement two programs for working adults and students.
