Stage when held in December 2020
In the “Unmanned Orchestra Concert”, the sound source of the orchestra’s live performance, which was recorded by setting a microphone for each performer of each instrument, is output from about 70 speakers placed on the stage in the same position as the performers at the time of recording. This is an experience event where visitors can hear and compare the difference in sound and sound pressure depending on the listening position and instruments from various places in the audience, on the stage, and in the hall. The performance held in December 2020 as a related project of “Yokohama WEB Stage*” will be replayed with the renewal opening of “Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall”. During the performance, you can sit in the audience seats just like a regular concert, and you can also go up to the stage and experience the acoustics near the speakers. In addition, we paid particular attention to the placement of the speakers and the direction in which the sound is emitted, so you can enjoy the real orchestral sound while feeling the reverberation of the hall with your whole body.
Yamaha’s advanced signal processing technology and audio equipment support the realization of a completely new musical experience. * An art festival that takes place in a virtual space on the Internet, producing and distributing various video contents that allow you to enjoy performances recorded using the latest technology.
