Yumeji Folk Art Museum (Location: 2-1-32 Hama, Naka-ku, Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture; Director: Mitsunobu Kojima; Management: Ryobi Cultural Promotion Foundation) At 2000-1 Honjo, Oku-cho, Setouchi City, from October 4, 2022 (Tuesday), a special exhibition titled “Yumeji’s Birthplace: Hometown Autumn” will be held.
In this exhibition, there will be a special display of “Autumn Fan”, which expresses a sad love story based on a Chinese historical event. color the You can experience the origin of Yumeji’s art.

■ Yumeji Birthplace Memorial Museum/Shonen Villa
Yumeji Birthplace Hometown Autumn
Date: October 4th (Tuesday) to December 11th (Sunday), 2022
Overview:
At the 250-year-old thatched-roof “Yumeji Birthplace Memorial Hall” where Takehisa Yumeji was born and lived until the age of 16, Yumeji’s childhood room is open to the public. You can see Yumeji’s handwritten works in the museum’s collection on the theme of his hometown. At the “Shonen Villa”, which is a restored atelier and residence designed by Yumeji himself, you can listen to the music of Senoo’s sheet music, for which Yumeji designed the cover, with the themes of life, design, and music. You can see Ni’s works and Yumeji’s life through photographs and memorabilia.

Date: Late October to mid-November 2022
Yumeji cherishes the five seasonal festivals. At the birthplace memorial hall, the Chrysanthemum Festival is celebrated to wish chrysanthemums for longevity, and there is a special exhibition of Yumeji’s autumn works. Please enjoy Yumeji’s work, which gives you a sense of the seasons, along with the gorgeous chrysanthemum flowers in his hometown, the origin of Yumeji’s art.
[The 12th “Children’s Yumeji Newspaper” Exhibition]
Date: October 16th (Sun) to October 30th (Sun), 2022
We will exhibit excellent works from among the works that have been submitted to the “Children’s Yumeji Newspaper”.
