Traditional cooking class for parents and children
Hosted by Minamusu GOHAN PROJECT (Representative Director: Keiko Takahashi), which has been held since 2016
A hands-on traditional food class where parents and children learn and make traditional Japanese food that goes well with Hokka and other rice.
The traditional (fermented) food making that has been handed down from the time when there was no electricity or gas,
Observation of food processing techniques such as preserved food and the process of fermenting ingredients that are good for the body, and lectures on points and tricks that are difficult to fail at home in a modern style that is easy for children to understand.
In 2022, following the summer free research series, the “2022 Autumn/Winter 4 Lectures” will be held online on December 4th and December 18th.
We are looking for parents and children from 4 years old to elementary and junior high school students all over the country!
Materials and documents are mailed in advance, including shipping (remote islands and overseas are postage cash on delivery)
We are looking for participants by the first-come-first-served application deadline on 11/22!

There are four curricula this time.
December 4th is “Making brown rice amazake with brown rice koji” and “Making simple rice crackers”
On December 18th, we plan to make “homemade miso that won’t fail” and “homemade soybean flour & zunda bean paste”.
In particular, in “Miso making that does not fail”,
As a countermeasure against “film yeast” and “mold” that tend to occur during the fermentation process of miso, I used “that” that even beginners can find in supermarkets, convenience stores, and home refrigerators. Teach the trick of scales from the eyes!

Note) For participants from overseas, there are restrictions on the types of ingredients that can be sent from Japan depending on the country, so you may need to procure ingredients locally depending on where you live.
