[What is going on in Miami, USA? ]
Takuma Tanaka, who runs an atelier and gallery studio in Kanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, is currently active in the United States. This November started in New York and moved to Miami.
Miami is famous as a city of art, and the world’s No. 1 art exhibition “Art Basel” is held every December, and the wealthy people from all over the world gather on private jets, and December is especially exciting with art.
From November 29th to February 13th next year, Takuma Tanaka’s large-scale works (194cm x 324cm) will be exhibited in this city. An exhibition of Takuma Tanaka’s works has started at “The Wall Art Gallery” in the center of Miami, directed by “Rachel Vancelet” who is in charge of art for the magazine “VOGUE”.

The gallery is conveniently located on the first floor of a building owned by Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg’s investment funds,
approximately 4,000 square feet.

[Biography of contemporary artist Takuma Tanaka]
Born in 1977 in Edogawa Ward, Tokyo.
After graduating from Waseda University, he aimed to become a lawyer, but after failing the bar exam twice, he fell ill and started painting as part of his rehabilitation.
At that time, he got a hint from street performer “Peter Frankl” who was performing on the street, and started selling works on the streets of Urawa where he lived at the time. The exceptional price of 1,000 yen per sheet and pop art style received high praise, and gradually attracted attention. Now, we also deliver works that exceed 1 million yen per sheet to our customers.
2008 Created the background image for Nippon Television’s fashionable ism ART TAKES TIMES SQUARE competition in 2012 Selected from 36,000 people and their work is projected on an electronic bulletin board in Times Square (published in commemorative book)
