Lots of events to enjoy Chile in November Japan’s first landing wine also appeared

At the 125th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Chile, the Chilean Trade Promotion Bureau will deliver even more new attractions to those who have never had the opportunity to experience Chilean cuisine and culture, and to those who have come to know it. In 2022, Japan and Chile will celebrate the 125th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
Although Chile is located on the other side of the world, it has many things in common with Japan, and over the past 125 years, in addition to economic activities, the two countries have cooperated, helped each other, and deepened ties during natural disasters such as earthquakes. .
Currently, many Chilean products are distributed in Japan, including wine and salmon. Due to the increase in home consumption of wine due to the corona crisis, Chilean wine, for example, may be more familiar. Various promotions will be held this month to commemorate the 125th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. In conjunction with the Japan-Chinese Economic Committee to be held on November 10th and 11th, we will deliver an opportunity to experience Chile’s delicious ingredients and culture directly.
1) Open a store at Kotsu Kaikan Marche again this year
We will participate in Kotsu Kaikan Marche, which opened in November and December last year and was well received. Seafood products such as smoked trout salmon, sea urchins and mussels, as well as fair trade handcrafted leather bags will also appear. In addition, wines from carefully selected producers who entered the Japanese market for the first time this year will also appear.
On the weekend of November 5th (Sat) and 6th (Sun), D.O Alto Cachapoal’s wine Mosaiko, which arrived in Japan for the first time this year, the popular organic winery Emiliana, and Colchagua Valley’s Bouchon Familiy, including new items. Wines, on the following weekend, the 12th (Sat) and 13th (Sun), use carefully selected grapes from Casablanca Valley Attilio & Mochi and Maipo Valley and Limari Valley, which have just started selling this fall. and unique wines from producers Ximena Pacheco and Moretta Wines, whose first domestic sales will be at the Marché venue. 2) Costco over-the-counter tasting sales of Chilean kiwi
On November 10th (Thursday) and 11th (Friday), kiwi tasting sales will be held at three Costco Wholesale Japan Co., Ltd. stores in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Chilean kiwi is grown in the Senralto Valley, which is rich in natural blessings, and is the most popular Hayward variety (a variety with green flesh and large fruits) that has a good balance of sweetness and acidity. The Senralto Valley has volcanic ash soil, melted snow from the Andes Mountains, a temperature difference between day and night, and a dry climate.
