Hong Kong – Perched on the edge of Victoria Harbour, Four Seasons Hong Kong is a landmark that fuses gastronomy and wellness. In 2021, 16 years after its opening, a new hospitality space designed by the international interior design studio AB Concept has been unveiled. AB Concept is designing the hotel’s entrance and front piazza, lobby and lobby lounge gallery, and the new award-winning cocktail bar ARGO as part of a major refurbishment. Unveiled the design of the new restaurant lounge Noi, headed by starred chef Paulo Airaud.
AB Concept divides the restaurant into two zones, following a design brief drawn up by the chef. The two areas are the Italian-style dining room Italian Silhouette (22 people capacity) and the casual breakout lounge Doodle Garden, complete with a wine bar kiosk and panoramic views of Hong Kong.
The interior is finished with a design concept that incorporates a Japanese taste while retaining the vestiges of Italy. Combining Italian architecture with contemporary furnishings, it pays tribute to the Italian-Argentinian Chef Airaudo’s background and heritage, and includes a wine cellar. “Noi” means “we” in Italian. Chef Airaudo’s own childhood favorites, a playlist of his favorite hits from the 80’s and 90’s, past travels, movies and video games he’s seen, and playful interiors inspired by his many tattoos. Noi offers a special experience in each area that will be your own memory for that day and that moment. Artistic decorations on the carpets, walls, and ceilings, as well as two private dining rooms with pop art motifs, and graphics throughout the restaurant create a fusion of art and cuisine. For private dining, Italian Renaissance moldings are modernized with elements of pop art. Sit back and relax in AB Concept’s Viola chair, a collaboration with renowned Italian furniture maker Poltrona Frau. A second private dining suite is also accessed through a hidden door, both of which lead into a curated wine cellar that separates the two rooms.
The navy-based foyer welcomes guests with lighting and carpet graphics that change according to the season. The lounge’s namesake ‘Doodle Garden’ has built-in LEDs in the ceiling and is illustrated with chef Airaudo’s vintage tattoos. Enjoy a glass of wine at the wine kiosk while you wait for your seat at the restaurant.
Italian Silhouette is the main dining room, inspired by traditional Italian motifs, featuring a rich material and color palette of deep blue, bronze, dark timber, leather, wavy glass and silver travertine. The banquet seats overlooking the open kitchen are covered with Japanese roof tiles, and the Doodle Garden on the other side is separated by bamboo screens, creating a comfortable space with a multi-layered atmosphere. Noi pays attention to every detail to make you feel inspired.
