Strengthening the lineup of “premium tequila”, which is gaining popularity
Asahi Breweries, Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo; President: Kenichi Shiozawa) will release premium tequila “1800 Cristalino” from Jose Cuervo, Mexico, from November 8th.
“1800 Cristalino” is a “100% agave tequila” that uses only agave as an ingredient. This is a premium tequila positioned at the top of the Jose Cuervo 1800 Tequila brand lineup for the Japanese market. After being aged in French oak barrels and American oak barrels, the tequila whiskey was stored (married) in port wine barrels and filtered to achieve crystal clarity. It features a sweet, herb-like scent derived from agave, as well as a refreshing and smooth taste that allows you to feel the flavor and aroma derived from barrels. The product name -1800- comes from the history that tequila was first aged in oak barrels around 1800.
José Cuervo is a long-established tequila maker with a history of over 200 years, founded in Mexico in 1795. Cuervo, which is still manufactured using traditional methods at the La Rojeña Brewery where it was founded, is sold in more than 90 countries around the world. This time, by strengthening our premium tequila product portfolio and responding to diversifying consumer needs, we aim to further revitalize the tequila market and pursue customer satisfaction. We aim to create.
