The hot and spicy menu “Mabo Jun Tofu Set Meal” that makes you sweat on your forehead even in winter will be available for a limited time at Sundubu Set Meal Specialty Store “Nakayama Tofu Shop”.
The leading role is homemade tofu with a smooth, high sugar content and low oil content, made with Toyomasari, a representative brand of soybeans grown mainly in the Tokachi region of Hokkaido. The mapo sauce has a punch that does not lose to the sweetness of the tofu, and is accented with sweet bean paste and soy sauce. A full-fledged mapo tofu is created by simmering it in an earthenware pot together with chunky minced pork and finishing it with chili oil and Sichuan pepper. Sundubu set meal specialty store “Nakayama Tofu Shop” offers free refills of rice for set meals, so you can enjoy mapo tofu with white rice without worrying about filling up your stomach.
