Introduced electric power derived from substantially renewable energy to Atsugi City Main Office and 36 elementary and junior high schools -Contribute to reducing CO2 emissions by switching about 34.1% of total power consumption-

Cosmo Oil Marketing Co., Ltd. (President: Koji Moriyama, hereinafter referred to as “Cosmo Oil Marketing”) and Atsugi City (Mayor: Tsuneyoshi Kobayashi) will supply 37 public facilities in Atsugi City with electric power derived from substantially renewable energy ( We have agreed to start supplying “substantially renewable electricity”). Atsugi City has announced “Atsugi City Zero Carbon City” aiming for zero carbon dioxide emissions by 2050. To realize this initiative, Cosmo Oil Marketing’s power plan “Cosmo Electricity Business Green” (*1) will be introduced at the Atsugi City Main Office and 36 elementary and junior high schools.
“Cosmo Electric Business Green” is a real renewable energy power plan that combines non-fossil certificates with tracking linked to wind power generated by Cosmo Energy Group’s Cosmo Eco Power Co., Ltd. (President: Masayoshi Noji). With this introduction, the annual power consumption of 37 facilities in Atsugi City, including the Atsugi City Main Building, will be effectively switched to renewable energy for approximately 8.2 million kWh (*2). This is equivalent to
approximately 34.1% of the total power consumption at facilities owned by Atsugi City. This will reduce annual CO2 emissions by approximately 3,215 tons.
This agreement is one of the results of our proposals made together with local dealers as part of the introduction of Cosmo Oil
Marketing’s product “Cosmo Zero Cabo Solution” (*3), which was launched last year.
Cosmo Oil Marketing and Atsugi City will continue to discuss and continue various initiatives to further reduce environmental impact and realize a decarbonized society.
