Digital Garage Concludes Capital and Business Alliance with Resona Holdings -Strengthening and expanding the payment area and promoting the next-generation Fintech business-

Digital Garage, Inc. (TSE Prime: 4819, Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director, President and Group CEO: Kaoru Hayashi, hereinafter referred to as DG) has established , today signed a capital and business alliance agreement with Resona Holdings, Inc. (TSE Prime 8308, Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo, Director and President and Representative Executive Officer: Masahiro Minami, hereinafter “Resona Group”). As a result of this alliance, the Resona Group plans to acquire approximately 2% of DG’s outstanding shares.
DG Group Resona Group has been providing payment solutions for corporate customers for many years. Through this alliance, the two companies will combine the DG Group’s startup ecosystem, including one of the largest payment platforms in Japan and Fintech, with the Resona Group’s customer base and credit know-how to strengthen the payment business.・We will contribute to the realization of a convenient, safe, and secure cashless society by expanding our market share and promoting the next-generation Fintech business.
■ Details of the capital and business alliance
● We will speedily provide settlement services in non-face-to-face areas such as e-commerce.
With the expansion of the non-face-to-face payment market, the importance of the DG Group’s payment services, which have a variety of payment methods and advanced security environments and management systems, will be provided through a joint sales system with full support.
● We aim to provide high-value-added services that utilize new technologies and data, and to create new business areas.
We will work together to provide innovative technologies through the DG Group’s startup ecosystem and new value-added financial and payment services that utilize the data owned by both companies. In addition, we aim to create new Fintech areas by developing solutions that meet the diversifying payment needs of our customers and their needs for operational efficiency.
