The DreamHack Japan Executive Committee will hold “DreamHack Japan” on May 13th and 14th, 2023. We will inform you that it will be held at Makuhari Messe for two days on (Sunday).
“DreamHack” started in 1994 and is an entertainment festival boasting a track record of mobilizing more than 350,000 people a year around the world. Sony Music Entertainment Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Shunsuke Muramatsu), DreamHack (SVP: Krzysztof Pikiewicz), ESL FACEIT Group (CPO: Sebastian Weishaar), STARBASE Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) , Representative Director: Ryotaro Hidaka) has decided to hold “DreamHack Japan” in Japan for the first time in East Asia.
This time, we announced the schedule and venue of “DreamHack Japan” at the venue stage of “DreamHack Winter” held in Sweden. The venue was filled with anticipation and enthusiasm for the event being held in Japan.
December 9, 2022 (Friday) is “DreamHack Day”, the day when information on DreamHack around the world will be lifted, and “DreamHack Japan” is planning to make further new announcements.
Five categories that symbolize “DreamHack Japan”
“DreamHack” is a complex immersive experience event made up of many communities. Events such as cosplay, talk shows, and live broadcasts spread from Esports, games, and anime culture. The latest IP and gear will be introduced, and various contents such as numerous exhibition booths that can be experienced will be organically connected. By adding the unique entertainment culture that Japan boasts to the world to the five categories that symbolize “DreamHack”

□BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer)
This is an area where participants bring their own computers and gadgets to the venue and play games in the best possible environment. The history of “DreamHack” began in 1994 with a PC party in Sweden with about 40 people. BYOC is the foundation of DreamHack, which has grown into an event that is currently sweeping the world. You can also experience the charm of BYOC, where gaming communities around the world are immersed, at “DreamHack Japan”.
“DreamHack” gathers the latest products from all over the world. At -EXPO-, you can try unknown gear provided by exhibiting partners, talk to developers, and learn about cutting-edge initiatives in the gaming industry.

As “DreamHack” grew, one of the events – Esports – became a category that attracted many fans. “DreamHack”, which has gained strong support from e-sports fans, has reached the global stage.
