Integrated school affairs support system “EDUCOM Manager C4th” supports single sign-on with SAML authentication for cloud computing of school affairs
EDUCOM Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Aichi Prefecture / Tokyo, CEO and COO: Taihei Kobayashi, hereinafter referred to as EDUCOM), which provides school support systems to elementary, junior high and high schools nationwide, will start integrated school affairs in November 2022. The support system (*1) “EDUCOM Manager C4th (hereafter C4th)” supports single sign-on (hereafter SSO) (*3) using SAML authentication (*2). With this support, you will be able to seamlessly log in to C4th with one-time authentication using the account information registered with Google Workspace/Manabi Pocket/ID Authentication Service (Mito). In the future, we plan to gradually expand the range of systems that support SSO.

Technology’s “Expert Meeting on the Informatization of School Affairs under the GIGA School Concept”, teachers’ work style reforms and learning data will be used to realize next-generation school affairs DX. From the viewpoint of linking school affairs data, it is desirable to move the school affairs support system to the cloud. It is also important to ensure both convenience and security when moving to the cloud.
C4th is an integrated school affairs support system (*4 )is. With the SSO support for SAML authentication on C4th this time, you will be able to seamlessly log in to C4th, and you can also improve the security level by using two-step authentication options such as Google Workspace and the integrated authentication service of Manabi Pocket. You can expect it. In addition, since there is no need to manage IDs and passwords for multiple systems, it not only strengthens security, but also eliminates the complexity of account management at schools.
In addition, C4th implements a “student account management” function that allows you to manage the account information of students used in various systems such as Google. In the future, along with SSO support, we plan to release a function that automatically links these account information managed on C4th with various systems via API (*5). As a result, we believe that it will be possible to reduce the burden and cost of day-to-day account management for students, as well as when updating the school year.
EDUCOM will continue to strive to develop and provide next-generation school support systems that can contribute to streamlining school affairs and improving the quality of education by strengthening system security and improving convenience.
