Kota Hirakawa will participate in the exhibition “Constellations: Global Reflections” related to the G20 Summit to be held in Bali, Indonesia this month.

Kota Hirakawa, an exhibiting artist of the “ACTIVATE KOGEI+ART” exhibition held at Matsuya Ginza from November 2nd to November 7th, will participate in the G20 held in KuraKura Bali, Indonesia from November 13th. We would like to inform you that we will participate in the Summit related exhibition “Constellations: Global Reflections”. [Image 1

For this exhibition, one artist from each G20 member country will be invited to exhibit public art (lantern works) designed by contemporary artists active in the forefront.
Focusing on issues such as environmental issues and fairness, this installation is based on the concept of Balinese textiles, lanterns, and the history of wayang (Indonesian puppetry).
“Constellations: Global Reflections”, curated by Lance Fung (Fung Collaboratives), will be held at B20 (November 13-14), G20 (November 15-16), Li Hita Karana Forum Summit (11 May 13-18), it will be previewed as an official side event of the G20. It will be open to the public and can be visited even after the summit is over. The work will be exhibited for one year.
A private tour by the curator will be held from November 12th to 18th, and a face-to-face Zoom press conference with G20 artists from around the world is scheduled for November 18th at 17:00 Bali time.
