■The number of phishing sites is number one in the world. Microsoft 365 is the most targeted
According to a survey by Keyman’s Net in 2021, the usage rate of Microsoft 365 accounts for 65.2% of all corporations, making it the most used web application and email tool.
On the other hand, did you know that Microsoft has the most phishing sites in the world? Attacks on Microsoft 365 are very attractive to attackers because once they are successfully infiltrated, they can access a lot of information and make supply chain attacks possible. As phishing emails and sites become more sophisticated, companies are being forced to rethink their Microsoft 365 security.
■ Current Email Security Issues
In email security, the gateway method that checks emails sent and received in front of the email server is common.
However, the gateway method has the following problems.
・Difficult to verify and introduce
・Internal emails do not pass through the gateway and cannot be checked ・The burden of managing filters that register spam, etc. is large. ・Vulnerable to detection of unknown threats
■Is there a way to prevent unknown threats?
As cyberattacks via e-mail become more sophisticated and complex in a short period of time, countermeasures against unknown threats are essential.
In this seminar, we will explain the latest email security issues and methods to prevent unknown threats under the theme of “Microsoft 365 email security”.
As a specific means, we propose “Vade for M365” that can build a strong security environment by utilizing multi-layered defense utilizing API linkage with applications and AI technology.
Companies that are worried about the current gateway-based email security, and companies that are considering new email security products are encouraged to participate.
