Comment from Tomoyasu Ishii, President and CEO
On behalf of Ishii Foods, I would like to ask everyone involved in this “Region and Season” project to lead us to receive the Food Industry Technology Achievement Award. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you.
“Food companies cannot make good products unless they have access to delicious ingredients.” The “Regional and Seasonal” business focuses on local foodstuffs, cooks high-quality foodstuffs by devising the growing environment and cultivation methods in a way unique to the region, and works together with producers to develop products. . Through our products, we aim to increase the number of “fans” of regions and ingredients, and aim for a cyclical business model that allows producers to sustainably produce and develop high-quality ingredients.
We will continue to do our best to develop this business along with our philosophy of “making truly delicious food.”

■About region and season series
Since 2016, Ishii Shokuhin has been developing “regions and seasons” initiatives in about 30 regions with the theme of connecting consumers and producers. We are developing and proposing the value of local ingredients. Our goal is to support producers and local residents who value the flavor of the region, create products together, and provide customers with an understanding of the background behind each product. Ishii’s “additive-free cooking” technology maximizes the taste of the ingredients while teaching the producers how to eat them in a way that is unique to the region. There are more than 100 types of “Regional and Seasonal” products.
