In order to discover the role that women play in the economy and the form of new entrepreneurship, the Junior Chamber International Nagoya (located in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture), together with the US Consulate in Nagoya, held a forum to promote women’s
empowerment-post-corona era. Possibilities of New Entrepreneurship ~” was held on October 26, 2022 at the Nagoya Youth Cultural Center Artpia Hall.

■ Details of “Forum to Promote Women’s Participation – Possibilities for New Entrepreneurship in the Post-Corona Era”
This forum was co-sponsored by the US Consulate in Nagoya and invited Ms. Megan Ward, an American entrepreneurial activist, to give a lecture in order to promote understanding of gender thinking in the United States and Japan.
In the panel discussion, Ms. Megan Ward and Japanese female
entrepreneurs and students also took the stage and talked about the difference in thinking about gender between Japan and the United States, the role women play in the economy, and new forms of entrepreneurship.
