[Yokohama Zoo Zoorasia x Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Realty] Conducting promotions that contribute to SDGs and education
In connection with Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Real Estate’s character “Trust-san”, the company presented a Sumatran tiger object and ecological commentary board to Yokohama Zoo Zoorasia.

Kyoei Ad International Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Katsumi Hirose; hereinafter referred to as “Kyoei Ad”), which develops area marketing business centered on transit advertisements and local government advertisements throughout the country, has set “SDGs Goal 15 [Land resources]: Let’s protect the richness of the land,” Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Realty Co., Ltd. By matching the request of the zoo to let visitors know more about the ecology of the tiger, which is a species of the zoo, we have installed a tiger object and an explanation board about the ecology.
In April, as part of its SDGs initiative, the company wrapped new bikes for animal keepers in tiger patterns and donated them to the Fukuoka City Zoo as bikes for transporting animal food and other items. This is the second donation project to the zoo by our company and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Real Estate.

Promotion created by connecting local business and culture
On November 6, the presentation ceremony was held in the same park under the warm sunshine. Mr. Yoshiyasu Sone, Managing Executive Officer of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Real Estate Co., Ltd., and Mr. Koichi Murata, Director of Yokohama Zoo Zoorasia gave greetings, followed by the presentation of a commemorative panel and a letter of
appreciation. Following the awarding of the prize, a life-size tiger object installed near the Sumatran tiger exhibition hall and an explanation board of the ecology were unveiled. When the blue green curtain was removed with a shout, a life-size tiger object was set up to look out from the grass, simulating the actual habitat environment. There is an explanation board on the side that describes the reason why the Sumatran tiger wears a striped pattern.
This year, which is the year of the tiger, marks the 10th anniversary of the birth of the company’s character, “Trust-san.” I believe that we were able to provide opportunities for learning to the children who visited our kindergarten by connecting them through our company’s mediation.

Presentation ceremony held on November 6, 2022
At first glance, the brightly colored stripes of the Sumatran tiger are very conspicuous, and in tropical rainforests, they are said to unite with the sunlight filtering through the trees and the shadows of the trees. Using this camouflage, tigers are said to quietly approach or ambush their prey. We hope that children who see these interesting exhibits will become more aware of environmental conservation. Kyoei Ad will continue to support activities that lead to the revitalization of the region through such matching between businesses rooted in the region.
