Purpose of the capital and business alliance
Our company is an EdTech startup that aims to create more educational opportunities, looking not only at Japan but also at the world, with the management philosophy of “Change the world with the power of EdTech”. The main business, “learningBOX”, is focused on ease of use and low prices, and started providing services in 2016. The number of registered users exceeded 17,000, and the number of paid contracts exceeded 800 (as of the end of July 2022). Chosen by many individuals and companies. In July 2022, on the occasion of our 10th anniversary, we changed our company name to “learningBOX Co., Ltd.” with the aim of clarifying our management policy centered on the learningBOX business and accelerating business growth.
As a SaaS product in the EdTech field, “learningBOX” has undergone continuous functional improvements since its service launch, and has gained a certain level of support for its functionality and
convenience. We will continue to further promote product development activities with the aim of becoming a “global learning platform” that will realize a society where anyone can learn whatever they want, anytime, anywhere.
Through this capital and business alliance, we will mutually utilize our technical capabilities in the education domain and the know-how accumulated in schools and education sites owned by Benesse
Corporation, to provide teachers and students all over Japan and learners around the world with , We will continue to focus on expanding the development area with the aim of developing services that can enhance the learning effect more than ever.
Details of the capital and business alliance
(1) Details of the business alliance
We will jointly develop systems and services by mutually utilizing learningBOX’s technical capabilities in the educational domain and the know-how accumulated through business development in schools and educational settings conducted by Benesse Corporation. In addition, we aim to provide services that meet the needs of CBT for the utilization of educational data at schools.
(2) Details of the capital alliance
learningBOX will issue new common stock through a third-party allotment with Benesse Holdings as the underwriter.
