Kokusai Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Tadashi Kurihara; hereinafter referred to as the Company) has applied for the “Rilakkuma x Spo GOMI ~Mission with Rilakkuma~” event held in Tokyo. We would like to inform you that we have started accepting applications.
The tournament is a nationwide event in which the popular character Rilakkuma of San-X Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Hiroshi Senda, hereinafter referred to as San-X)
collaborated with “Spo GOMI” advocated by the Social Sports
Initiative. Crossing event.
“Aitos Co., Ltd.” (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, President: Takayuki Ito) “System Service Co., Ltd.”, which has supported this tournament with the mission of “cleaning Japan and connecting everyone in Japan” (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; President: Munehiro Tamura) “Nippon Publishing Co., Ltd.”
(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Munehiro Tamura) Keiji Okumura) will be held in 10 cities nationwide by December 2023 together with “Left You Co., Ltd.” (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Yuya Takeoka).
The first was held in Hokkaido on August 28th, and the second was held in Miyagi on October 10th. We will continue to contribute to the local community through these activities.

Participants are divided into four groups: Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma, Kiiroitori, and Chairoikoguma. They wear bibs designed with each character, pick up trash from the city, and compete for points based on quantity and quality.
In addition to the regular rules and special rules unique to Rilakkuma, each character will also play an active role as a support character for each supporting company in the tournament. The national champion group will also be decided.
In order to spread the circle of the tournament not only in each city but also all over Japan, you can support each other with matching group uniforms, share the results of each tournament with supporting companies, and use your favorite characters. It is a project that can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, from children to many people, on the stage of all over Japan.

■ “Spo GOMI”, a social contribution activity that combines
environmental beautification and sports
Spo GOMI is a sport in which participants pick up litter in a predetermined area within a time limit with teamwork and compete for points based on the amount and quality of litter.
Advocated by the Social Sports Initiative Association in 2008, the total number of competitions held is about 1,200, and the total number of participants is about 110,000 (as of December 2021). It is also used in the classes of , and is held not only in Japan but also in overseas cities.
