-Recruiting participants for tourism-related businesses until December 6 (Tue)-
Musashino University Entrepreneurship Research Institute (Nishi-Tokyo City, Tokyo) has been selected for the “Tourism Management Human Resource Development Project in Collaboration with Universities, etc.” implemented by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. A lecture will be held for the purpose of “cultivating entrepreneurship human resources in regional management” from the perspective of tourism.
This year, a total of 10 courses will be held over 5 days from December 14th (Wednesday) to February 7th (Tuesday), 2023 (tuition is free). You can apply online during the period from today until December 6th (Tuesday).

Recently, due to the impact of the new coronavirus, a change in business model is required, and it is expected that the
next-generation tourism business will need to shift from a “supply model” to a “demand creation model.” This project, which was adopted this time, aims to develop human resources who can create demand, so to speak, with entrepreneurship (the spirit of creating new points of contact with society, not defined only by entrepreneurs). In addition to repeatedly inputting and outputting through academic and business frameworks, aiming to acquire entrepreneurship, guest speakers who are involved in regional management as practical role models share knowledge, study tours by volunteers, and lectures for the next generation of regional managers. After that, we plan to organize a community where we can interact with each other.
Ultimately, we will try to develop educational content, including video archives of all 10 courses, and develop programs and teaching materials.

In 1924, Musashino Women’s Academy was established with the ideal of character education based on the spirit of Buddhism. It used to be Musashino Women’s University and changed its name to Musashino University in 2003. Since becoming co-educational in 2004, the university has been reformed and developed into a comprehensive university with over 13,000 students, including 12 faculties and 20 departments, 13 graduate schools, and a correspondence course. In 2019, it opened the first data science department at a private university in Japan. In 2021, we will open the first Entrepreneurship Faculty in Japan, and start the university-wide common basic course “Musashino INITIAL” with “AI utilization” and “SDGs” as compulsory subjects. In 2023, we will open the first Sustainability Department in Japan. In order to develop creative human resources for the 100th anniversary of its founding in 2024 and the future in 2050, we are promoting university reforms.
