My Voicecom Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Kazuhisa Takai) conducted the eighth Internet survey on “Delivery” from October 1 to 5, 2022. Delivery in this survey covers meal delivery. We will inform you of the results of the investigation.

The usage scenes of those who used the meal delivery service in the last year (multiple answers) were 50.6% for “holiday/dinner”, 30.7% for “holiday/lunch”, and 29.5% for “weekday/dinner”. Compared to past surveys, “weekdays/dinner” is on the rise.

For those who used meal delivery services in the past year, the sources of information when choosing a store (multiple answers) were “flyers and direct mail posted in the post” at 32.1%, and “delivery service website / app”. “Store website/app” is 26% each.
“Flyers and direct mail sent to mailboxes” tend to decrease compared to past surveys, and are lower among young people.
How to order from delivery service
Regarding the ordering method of those who used meal delivery services in the last year (multiple answers), 42.8% answered “website/app of each store”, 37.2% answered “website/app of delivery service”, and “store 35.3%.
Compared to past surveys, “store websites/apps, etc.” and “delivery service websites/apps” increased, while “calling stores” decreased. “Delivery service website/app” has a high ratio among young people, and 50% to 60% of those who use it more than once a month.
