Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation
Regarding the start of verification for online application for road occupancy permission business with Mito City
Mito City (Mayor: Yasushi Takahashi) and East Japan Telegraph and Telephone Corporation Ibaraki Branch (Branch Manager: Kimihide Nagano, hereinafter referred to as “NTT East Japan”) concluded in 2021 an “agreement on joint studies for demonstrating advanced road
management-related operations.” Based on this, as a result of joint consideration, road occupancy applications, which were conventionally done face-to-face on paper, will be verified online from November 29, 2022 using a system developed by NTT East. It’s time to start. 1. Background and purpose
Currently, road occupancy permits are submitted face-to-face and the permit is issued. The issues are “occurrence” and “operation of information confirmation work due to managing information on occupied properties on paper”.
By making the road occupancy permission work online (building a road occupancy application web), “realization of application and permission not bound by time”, “reduction of paper management cost by
webization”, and “reduction of operation by improving information search efficiency” We believe that the improvement of administrative services and the efficiency of operations can be realized for both local governments (road administrators) and business operators (road occupants).
2. Verification overview
We will build a “Road Occupancy Application Web” and verify its effects in order to make a series of procedures online, from road occupancy permit application to issuance of permits.
