◆Overview
On November 2, 2022, the Faculty of Law of the National University Corporation Okayama University (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Okayama City; President: Hiroshi Makino) held an online international exchange seminar with the School of Foreign Languages, East China University of Political Science and Law.
The participants were 20 undergraduate students (13 classrooms, 7 online), 4 graduate students, and 7 faculty members from Okayama University, and 20 students and 2 faculty members from East China University of Political Science and Law in Shanghai, for a total of 53 people. . On the day of the event, after greetings from the deans of both departments, there were presentations by students from both Japan and China, followed by a discussion with all members.
In the presentations from the students, Mr. Yamato Inoue, a third-year student at the Faculty of Law, Okayama University, reported on the theme of “law and society in the post-corona era.” He talked mainly about the various laws that are involved in the Metaverse society, proposed new business models in the post-corona era and the need for legislation related to them, and compared the current situation between Japan and China. I did.

Next, Mr. Wang Wenchu, a third-year student at East China University of Political Science and Law, gave a report on the theme of “metaverse manners.” While analyzing specific cases, he talked about how important it is to observe good manners in the Metaverse society. Through this international exchange seminar, we were able to deepen mutual understanding in both countries, and what the students gained was different, but I think it was a great asset. In particular, many of the instructors and students at East China University of Political Science and Law are extremely fluent in Japanese. had a blast. [Image 3
