◆Overview
On October 27, 2022, the national university corporation Okayama University (Headquarters: Tsushima Junior High School, Kita-ku, Okayama City; President: Hiroshi Makino) conducted a collaborative disaster drill with the local community.
This training will further accelerate SDGs university management under Okayama University Vision 3.0, “a research university that fosters and creates the desired future together”, and as a university that pursues sustainability and well-being, strengthens the disaster resilience of the entire region. About 90 people participated in this disaster prevention drill in collaboration with local residents, the Ministry of Defense, and Okayama City in order to increase resilience. At the gymnasium where the event was held, Kaoru Tabuchi, chairman of the Tsushima School District Federation Neighborhood Association, gave opening remarks, followed by a lecture on disaster prevention, such as evacuation in the event of a disaster in the Tsushima district, by Masaru Sakon, Director of the Kurashiki Regional Office of the Self-Defense Forces Okayama Regional Cooperation Headquarters. had.
