◆Overview
National University Corporation Okayama University (Headquarters: Tsushima Junior High School, Kita-ku, Okayama City; President: Hiroshi Makino) will visit Okayama Hosen High School on Saturday, October 22, 2022, and open for the second time this year. A lecture (9:55-12:25) was held.
This is the second open course at Okayama Hosen High School following the one in June. This time, it was held in separate classrooms for 1st and 2nd year applicants (24 applicants for nursing majors and 27 applicants for laboratory technology majors).
For nursing applicants, in addition to a mini-lecture on “studying nursing at university,” a “work on communication” was held to experience being a narrator and a listener in various situations. The high school students who participated while enjoying themselves felt various things. A high school teacher also participated in the work using the dial.

In the Department of Laboratory Technology, lectures were given on the topics of “What is ‘cancer’?” and “The role of clinical laboratory technologists in ‘cancer’ diagnosis.” They also had the experience of observing cancer cells and finding cancer cells by themselves. 　Two current fourth-year nursing majors also participated in this open lecture and told them how their high school life is connected to their university life.
