National University Corporation Okayama University (Headquarters: Tsushima Junior High School, Kita-ku, Okayama City; President: Hiroshi Makino) International Alumni Association Chairman Myo Khin and Global Human Resources Development Institute Overseas Special Ambassador Than Sein announced in October 2022 On the 21st, they visited the university and paid a courtesy visit to President Hiroshi Makino. The courtesy call was attended by Executive Vice President Hiroaki Funahashi (in charge of academic affairs), Vice President Takayoshi Suzuki (in charge of international affairs), and others. Chairman Myokin reported on the exchanges and activities between Myanmar and Japan during the COVID-19 pandemic, while being pleased to meet again after three years.
President Myokhin and Mr. Tan Sein came to Japan to participate in the 12th Okayama University International Alumni Association General Assembly on the same day. The 10th and 11th general meetings were held online due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, but this time, we welcomed President Myokin to our university and held it in a hybrid format, connecting each branch online.
Okayama University International Alumni Association has established 55 branches (including 7 communication bases) in 28 countries around the world as of October 2022 in order to promote student exchange programs, exchanges between university faculty and staff, and deepen ties between alma mater and alumni. It has been. It is expected that the activities will be promoted more and more through interaction with alumni, faculty and staff, and students in the future.
