System kitchen “I-CLASS KITCHEN”
Panasonic Housing Solutions Co., Ltd. (President: Masashi Yamada; Headquarters: Kadoma City, Osaka; hereinafter referred to as Panasonic Housing Solutions) has established a system kitchen “I-CLASS KITCHEN” manufactured in India through the housing business unit of Panasonic Life Solutions India Pvt Ltd. Eye Class Kitchen)” will start accepting orders from November 18, 2022.
In 2019, Panasonic Housing Solutions began exporting the Japanese-made high-end system kitchen “L-CLASS” from Japan to India, and started the kitchen business in India. Panasonic Life Solutions India Pvt Ltd. (formerly Anchor) has established a value chain that includes planning for each house, construction and after-sales service in the housing business unit. In recent years, India has advocated “Make In India” and promoted the promotion of the manufacturing industry on a nationwide basis. GDP is growing at an annual rate of 6.8% (*1), the standard of living of the people is rising, and the number of housing starts is about 7 million units (*2), which is greatly expanding demand. Furthermore, by 2025, the level of new housing construction in India is projected to increase by 7.7% (*2), and continued expansion of the upper middle class is also expected.
Targeting this upper-middle class, Panasonic Housing Solutions will be the first Japanese manufacturer (*3) to release a Panasonic brand system kitchen “I-CLASS KITCHEN” produced locally in India. Through local manufacturing, we are able to adapt to the needs of Indian consumers, improve cost response capabilities, and shorten delivery times. We will expand our customer target by sticking to the quality and usability unique to Japanese brands.
Panasonic Housing Solutions aims to sell 800 units of “I-CLASS KITCHEN” per year in fiscal 2025 through the sales network it has built.
