Looking at the current situation of job hunting as a whole, “I have finished job hunting (17.9%)”, “I have not started job hunting yet, but I am interested in internship (14.7%)”, “I have not started job hunting yet” 9.1% do not participate in internships.” Of the students who responded that they were “participating in or interested in internships,” the result was 21.0% for first-year students and 26.3% for second-year students. About 1 in 4 first and second year students answered that they were “participating in or interested in an internship”, and 1.78% of first and second year students answered that they would continue job hunting (already received a job offer). From the fact that there are many students, it seems that they are living a student life with an awareness of employment from before the third year of university, when job hunting begins in earnest.
In addition, in June 2022, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare will revise the “Basic Concept for Promoting Internships.” From the current sophomore year, it is possible to use the acquired student information for internships that meet certain requirements for public relations activities and recruitment selection activities, so early
participation in internships that are directly linked to recruitment is expected in the future. . *2
