When we surveyed the qualifications to study at home while raising children, the first place was “medical office work”.

“Medical Affairs” came in first place.
After 2nd place, “FP” and “Bookkeeping” followed, and “Registered Seller”, “IT Passport” and “Real Estate Broker” were tied for 6th place.
1st place: Medical office work
・I think that each hospital has a different method of medical treatment, but medical fees (so-called points) are standardized all over Japan, so I think medical clerks who are good at points will be very useful (in other words) If you put it away, you can work anywhere in the country) Moreover, it is a qualification that can be obtained by studying at home without requiring any special qualifications, so I think it is a very good qualification for learning at home while raising children. (Female in her 30s)
・Since you can take the exam at home, you can take the exam at your favorite time. There are many hospitals, so I think it’s good to be able to choose a place of employment that suits your lifestyle. (Female in her 20s)
・Because there are many types of courses that allow you to study at home without actually going somewhere. A friend of mine also qualified online. (Female in her 40s)

The reason for this was that I could study and take exams at home, so I didn’t have to leave my child, and there were many places to work in the future.
2nd place: FP
・Since the content related to money feels very familiar, it seems that motivation can be maintained even while raising children. (Male, 30s) ・Since I have a child, I think that my motivation will increase because I will be more interested in the necessary money, including future education funds. Level 3 of FP isn’t that difficult, so I think I can study in between raising children. (Female in her 40s) ・You can acquire up to Level 2 by studying only with reference books. In addition, you can learn about laws and taxes related to child rearing and household finances, so it is the most suitable
qualification. The exam fee is not that expensive, so it is a recommended qualification that you can acquire without putting pressure on your household budget. (Female in her 20s)
The second place is “FP”.
There was an opinion that self-study is not difficult and that money related things are useful in real life.
3rd place: Bookkeeping
・If you are raising children, it is better to work on a regular basis and it is easy to go home. Even in clerical work, people with qualifications are more likely to be hired. There are many reference books and types of qualifications, and there are many stores that handle them, so it is easy to choose. (Female in her 30s)
・I think it’s good because you can study at your own pace at home using teaching materials such as U-Can. (Female in her 20s)
・I personally felt that bookkeeping was a really useful skill for managing household finances. (Male, 30s)
4th place: MOS
・If you know the basic office operations, there is no problem even if you study for a while. I think it’s a qualification that you can easily get in your spare time. (Female in her 30s)
・It will be useful when I have to do clerical work part-time in the future, and I think it is important because it is an era where minimum PC operation is required. (Female in her 20s)
・It is a qualification related to Microsoft, and the content is not that difficult, and there are many jobs that use Word and Excel in terms of content, so it can be applied to various jobs and is effective in the sense that you can use your remaining time

4th place: Organizing storage advisor
・Since I usually clean up at home, it is the most familiar and I can enjoy studying, so I can make use of my experience rather than studying. (Female in her 40s)
・If you are a storage adviser, you need writing measures, but I think it is suitable because you can study practical skills while tidying up the house. (Female in her 20s)
・Because you can learn while organizing your child’s and your own things. Also, by learning, you can kill two birds with one stone by arranging the inside of your house. (Female in her 30s)
6th place: Registered seller
・I actually got this qualification when my son was 0 years old, but I was able to get it even with a reasonable amount of study time at home. (Female in her 30s)
・There is an inseparable bond between children and medicine, and by studying, they will be able to make their own decisions and choose medicines. If your child starts going to school, you can get a job, so kill two birds with one stone. (Female in her 30s)
・My friend was studying the qualification of a registered seller by self-study. I passed the exam, the salary at my workplace was high, and being able to choose medicine for my child and give it to me was also good for me. (Female in her 30s)
6th place: IT passport
・The future is IT. The IT passport can be obtained quickly, and the test fee is cheap, so it is economical. A qualification that doesn’t hurt even if you have it. (Female in her 30s)
・I think that it is a skill that can be used in a wide range of companies in any industry, not limited. MOS seems good for the same reason, but since there are versions, it seems meaningless unless you always receive the latest version. (Female in her 30s)
・If you have knowledge of IT, you will be able to work with computers and work as an engineer. (Female in her 20s)
6th place: real estate broker
・Because it is highly difficult and valuable among national
qualifications (law related) that can be passed by complete
self-study. Not only is it well known, but it is also very good that it is easy to see how it will be used after acquisition. Also, I think that it is easy to be evaluated by those around you because of its high name recognition. (Male in his 40s)
・It is a qualification that can be obtained if you study for about 5 hours every day after your child is asleep. In addition, it is also a qualification that is easy to evaluate because of its high degree of difficulty. (Female in her 30s)
・It is useful for returning to work or changing jobs, and it is possible to learn the basics of the civil law (general rules, inheritance, etc.) and continue to acquire other qualifications (administrative operations chief, condominium manager, administrative scrivener). (Male, 30s)
6th place is “Registered Seller”, “IT Passport” and “Real Estate Broker”. Many qualifications are selected that are useful for employment if you have them even after childcare is settled.

When we conducted a questionnaire to 100 people, 23.0% of them answered “medical office work”.
Also, as reasons for answering, there were many opinions that it was possible to take the test at home and that there were many places to work.
It can be said that it is a great advantage to be able to take the test at home when you are raising children.
