The first place was the “Web Writing Ability Test”.
After 2nd place, “TOEIC” and “Transcription Test” followed, and “Proofreading Skill Test” came in 8th place.
1st place: Web writing ability test
・I think web writing is easy to earn because there are many jobs for side jobs and freelancers. However, there are many rivals, so I think it will be a weapon if you have qualifications. (Female in her 20s) ・Because it can be differentiated. It’s not something you wear normally. I think it’s a skill that has technology and knowledge. Because it is easy to see from the surroundings. (Male, 20s) ・If you improve your writing, you will be able to understand what the client is looking for. I thought it would be a step up. (Female in her 20s)
The first place was “Web writing ability test”.
Writing can be done without qualifications, but there was a reason that if you have qualifications, you can differentiate yourself and become a weapon.
2nd place: TOEIC
・It becomes possible to choose an international job. In addition, there is a wide range of jobs for supporting foreigners, so it is likely that there will be a constant stream of job offers. (Men in their 50s and up)
・When I had a TOEIC score of 600, I was able to receive a web writing request for English. (Female in her 30s)
・Being able to use multiple languages is because I feel that the range of customers is likely to expand. Especially because I think English is a tool that many people use. (Female in her 20s)
Second place is “TOEIC”.
The reason given was that having an English qualification would lead to a wider range of jobs and higher remuneration.
3rd place: Transcription test
・Since it is a skill-based qualification, regardless of academic ability, it will also be a job for those who want to work but find it difficult to work outside. Also, interviews are conducted in a wide range of genres such as online news and magazines, so I felt that if I could specialize in speed and respond quickly, I could do it as a freelancer. (Female in her 40s)
・Because the transcription test is a job that is directly linked to your job, it will be useful as an appealing point when applying. (Female in her 30s)
・I thought it was a good qualification because it is a special qualification that is unlikely to be obtained in everyday life. It would be nice to be able to transcribe tapes because there are many videos in this era. (Female in her 40s)
4th place: MOS
・Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are often used to write sentences and create materials. We believe that having knowledge of basic operations + α will enable us to proceed with our work more efficiently. (Female in her 30s)
・Because some freelance work projects involve entering data into templates made with Excel and writing projects using Word. (Male, 30s) ・MOS is also a proof that you have a certain degree of familiarity with MS Ofiice, which tends to be the basis of your business, so it is easy to show that you have PC skills. (Male, 20s)
5th place: IT passport
・I chose this qualification because I think it’s a qualification that makes it easy to appeal that you have basic IT-related knowledge. I have also heard that general companies are also encouraged to take this certification. (Female in her 30s)
・If you have knowledge in the IT field, which is in high demand now, you can negotiate with various companies when working as a freelancer. (Female in her 20s)
・Because I think that I can learn PC knowledge, security, management, etc. that are essential for work through obtaining an IT passport. (Female in her 30s)
6th place: Nissho PC test
・If you have computer skills, you can do a variety of tasks, and the range of work you can do will expand, so I think the Nissho PC Test is good. (Male in his 40s)
・It is an advantageous qualification for clerical work, and I think that there are many jobs that can be taken if you have this. In fact, there are some job postings that say that having this qualification is even better. (Female in her 20s)
・It seems that I will be strong in numbers and PC operation, etc. Will it be useful for accounting freelance? I chose it because I thought. (Female in her 30s)
6th place: Practical English Proficiency Test
・In this day and age, I think it would be nice to be able to speak English no matter what I do. I think it will be useful not only in Japan, but because it is a universal language wherever you are. (Female in her 40s)
・In the global society, being able to speak English is likely to be given preferential treatment by companies, and there is likely to be demand for interpreting jobs and English teachers not only in Japan but also overseas. (Female in her 30s)
・Because it is highly practical and has the potential to be useful in a wide range of fields. I think there is a high possibility that it will be a great weapon for activities such as acquiring projects from overseas. (Male, 30s)
8th place: Proofreading skill test
・Because I thought that creating sentences according to the correct methods and procedures should be the top priority when engaging in the work of writing sentences. (Male, 20s)
・Because just having qualifications is proof and jobs will come in. You can learn how to use Japanese correctly, so you don’t have to worry about looking up terms you don’t understand at work. (Female in her 20s)
・Because it has a wide range of freedom, such as website proofreading and proofreading of paper media. In addition to my main job, it is also useful for writing articles. Also, although it is a narrow gate, if you get a client, you can work from home. (Female in her 40s) “Proofreading skill test” was 8th place.
There was a lot of proofreading work, and there was an opinion that it would be useful for article writing work.
summary
When we conducted a questionnaire to 100 people, 39.0% of the total answered “Web writing ability test”.
Also, as a reason for answering, there were many opinions that writing is mostly for freelance and side jobs, and that it can be
differentiated from others.
It is a proof that you have acquired writing skills, so there is a high possibility that the client’s credibility will increase. If you are a freelancer, why don’t you refer to it?
