About the author, Akiko Miyakoshi
Akiko Miyakoshi, the author of this work, is a picture book author born in Saitama Prefecture in 1982. In 2009, he won the Grand Prix of Nissan Children’s Storybooks and Picture Books with “Taifu ga kuru” and made his debut.
In addition, “Yorokaeri Michi”, which has been translated and published in many languages, won the Bologna Ragazzi Award (2016 Fiction Special Mention), The New York Times & New York Public Library The Best Illustrated Children’s Books of 2017, Selected for The White Ravens 2016 by the Munich International Children’s Library, it has also been highly evaluated overseas.

Written by Akiko Miyakoshi
Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1982. Graduated from Musashino Art University. He began drawing picture books while still in school, and made his debut in 2009 with Taifu ga Kuru, which won the grand prix of the Nissan Children’s Storybook and Picture Book Grand Prix. In 2012, she won the Grand Prize at the Japan Picture Book Awards for her book “To the Forest’s Ochakai”. After being awarded the Bologna Ragazzi Prize (2016 Fiction Special Mention), “Yoru no Kaeri Michi” has been translated and published in numerous languages. It is also highly rated overseas, such as being selected for White Ravens 2016. Other works include “Nohara no Heya”, “Piano Happyokai”, and “Who’s this?” “Boku no Tabi” and “Kaichu Dento”.
