At the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto, through art, people with and without disabilities think about, talk about, and put into practice the concept of diversity and an inclusive society. Let’s Konekone ~” will be held from December 1st (Thursday) to 18th (Sunday), 2022.
The theme for 2022, which will be the third time, is “Knead your heart with art”. Participating facilities are waiting for you with various programs such as exhibitions, workshops, continuous talks, screenings, etc. for 18 days including disability week (December 3rd to 9th). In addition, the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto and other venues have set up “Konekone Courtyard,” a space for interaction and relaxation. Experience various expressions, cultures, and histories, experience art with all five senses, and spend time with various people to “knead” your heart and soul.
*Everyone can apply and participate in CONNECT⇄＿ programs and events regardless of whether they have disabilities or not. Please contact the secretariat for any requests or consultations, such as sign language interpreters or wheelchair seats.
* Recruitment for the “advance application required” program will start from mid-November on the CONNECT ⇄_ website

Courtyard of Konekone
Schedule: Throughout the exhibition period (closed on Mondays) Venue: The National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto (1st floor lobby, in front of the outdoor entrance), ROHM Theater Kyoto (next to Promenade “General Information/Ticket Counter”)
Come here first on the day of your arrival. CONNECT ⇄_The starting point for excursions with three functions: an information center with information on each program and archived footage from the past two years, a rest area where you can take a break between tours of each facility, and a corner where you can experience “experience” activities. This is the place to be. “CONNECT⇄_Guidebook” is also distributed.

2021 CONNECT⇄_Accessibility training session
CONNECT⇄_This is a series of talk events where you can enjoy each program and related events more deeply and think about symbiosis. Experts, people with disabilities and related parties will be invited as guests according to the theme and content of each program. Why don’t you listen to the story from each position and think about it?

Alter ego robot “OriHime” program
Schedule: December 10 (Sat) 1:10am-, 2:30pm-
Online program / limited number of participants per session
Use the avatar robot “OriHime” to walk around the facilities and surrounding areas while communicating with local guides. People with disabilities and other people who are unable to visit the site for various reasons can access and enjoy the cultural facilities together. *This program is for people who have difficulty going out due to various reasons, such as physical limitations.

Let’s go around Okazaki Park! CONNECT⇄＿ Stamp Rally
Schedule: Throughout the exhibition period (closed on Mondays) Venue: Each participating facility (7 locations in total)

Collect the CONNECT⇄_ original stamps installed at each participating facility in the “CONNECT⇄_ Guidebook” distributed at the “Konekone Courtyard” and present it at the “Konekone Courtyard” at the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto. You will receive a souvenir.
