Post on Instagram! “Yokohama Architecture Photo Contest” / Appointed Yokohama’s leading photographer, Hideo Mori, as a judge -Application period: November 11-January 10-

As one of the initiatives for the Yokohama City Public Building 100th Anniversary Project, we will hold the “Yokohama Architecture Photo Contest” using Instagram.
We are looking for photos of buildings in Yokohama City, such as recommended buildings in Yokohama, memories of Yokohama buildings sleeping in albums, etc., under the theme of “Yokohama-like so far, and from now on.”
Mr. Hideo Mori, a photographer representing Yokohama, will be invited as a judge, and the works selected for the Grand Prize and Excellence Prize will be exhibited at the city hall in March.
The application period is from November 11th (Friday) “Public Building Day” to January 10th (Tuesday), 5th year of Reiwa.

We are looking for a wide range of photos that include recommended buildings, buildings that you want to visit, memorable buildings, and buildings that you want to cherish in the future.

Scheduled for early March 2023
The Grand Prize and Excellence Prize will be exhibited in March at the exhibition space on the 2nd floor of Yokohama City Hall.

1. Follow the Yokohama City Public Building 100th Anniversary Instagram account (@yokohama_kokyokenchiku)
2. Select a photo of a “Yokohama-like building” that you think of, and post it with the caption “the name of the building”, “title of the work”, and “#Yokohama Architecture Photo Contest”.

Qualification requirements
Anyone can participate, regardless of nationality, whether they are professionals or amateurs, as long as they meet all of the following criteria.
1. Those who can apply according to “How to apply”
2. Those whose delivery address is in Japan due to the convenience of shipping prizes.
3. Those who can agree to the implementation guidelines

Photographer Hideo Mori
Born in Yokohama City. Member of JPS (Japan Professional Photographers Society). He named the port, city, and people of Yokohama, which he has continued to photograph for many years, as “Forest Observation,” and records the “memory” of the forest with his unique sensibility. Received the New York ADC Merit Award Received the 50th Yokohama Cultural Award Encouragement Award
