otalab conducted a “survey on the number of SNS accounts owned by age group” targeting 1,133 people in their 10s to 60s living in 47 prefectures.
The survey results are as follows.

Survey summary
・ More than 60% of people in their teens to 60s answered that they have multiple accounts on SNS.

At otalab, we surveyed 1,133 men and women in their teens to 60s. The age ratio of respondents to the survey is as follows.
Teens: 1.6%, 20s: 34.2%, 30s: 38.0%, 40s: 20.1%, 50s: 5.1%, 60s: 1.1% More than 60% of people in their teens to 60s answered that they have multiple accounts on SNS.

First, in order to investigate the actual situation of having multiple SNS accounts, we asked each age group whether they had multiple accounts within one SNS.
As a result of the survey, more than 60% of people in any age group answered that they have multiple accounts on one SNS.
The rate of having multiple accounts in their 20s was the highest, and it was found that 96% of respondents in their 20s had multiple accounts.
“Twitter” was the most popular for having multiple accounts, followed by “Instagram”.

Finally, we investigated the disadvantages of having multiple accounts. According to the results of the survey, the most common reason was that “it became troublesome to use different accounts”, accounting for 51%.
