1. Background and purpose of agreement
The supply chain in the fashion industry has a long cycle, from product planning to design, raw material procurement, product production/procurement, and sales. It’s complicated because there are people involved. Therefore, visualization and efficiency improvement of the entire supply chain, optimization of logistics and inventory, and visualization and reduction of GHG emissions in the distribution process have become issues.
With the mission of “Play fashion!”, which excites everyone’s life through fashion, Adastria aims to create an open community where people and information come and go, and to become a “good community co-creation company” that creates new value. I am aiming. Under the Sustainability Policy, “The excitement of fashion, into the future.” going.
Yamato Transport utilizes domestic and overseas bases and a
transportation and delivery network, aiming to provide comprehensive value from the upstream to the downstream of the business of corporate customers from the upstream to the downstream. We help transform and optimize logistics and inventory. In addition, with the goals of “net zero greenhouse gas emissions in-house by 2050” and “48% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 (compared to fiscal 2020),” the DPD Group, which has Europe’s largest home delivery network, will reduce GHG emissions in logistics. We are actively promoting various initiatives to realize a carbon-neutral society, such as concluding a basic agreement for visualization and consideration of global common calculation standards.
This time, from the procurement of raw materials to the production of products and omni-channel sales, we will review the distribution of Adastria’s domestic and overseas supply chains and how to hold inventories to reduce GHG emissions and improve management. We aim to build a more effective logistics system and achieve certain results in 2023. After that, we will work to realize and expand sustainable fashion in cooperation with other fashion companies by utilizing Adastria’s knowledge of the supply chain of the fashion industry and Yamato Transport’s domestic and overseas distribution infrastructure and logistics know-how. .
