Albirex Niigata Singapore was able to continue its activities last year without any major problems thanks to your support and
encouragement.
2023 is the year of the milestone of the club’s 20th anniversary. We have been able to continue our activities for so long thanks to all of our partner companies who share our philosophy and support us, as well as all of the Albirex family members who are involved with us in some way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Last year, the top team was able to win the Singapore Premier League. Thanks to the players and staff, as well as the supporters who continued to cheer us on with passion. In addition, Ilhan Fandy won a transfer to Belgium’s KMSK Danes, and Kota Tanaka won a transfer to Lion City Sailors FC. Other players are also deciding their course one after another to J League clubs. With age restrictions on our players, helping players develop better careers is a mission we focus on and a great source of joy.
This year, the 20th anniversary, former Japan national team player Lee Tadanari, who has continued his contract, and coach Yoshinaga Kazuaki, who will be coaching for a total of 4 seasons, will fight with everyone. Goalkeeper Hassan Sunny, who has played more than 100 matches for the Singapore national team, will join the team, and new young warriors will come from Japan to take on the challenge of building their own careers. I would like to ask for your support with your hot support.
Women’s top team that started activities last year. In their first league match, they finished 2nd, an unexpectedly good result. Our greatest strengths are teamwork and the spirit of never giving up. Despite being covered in mud, he shows a bright smile in every match and goes straight to the goal. Their passionate play at the match venue shakes my heart. I would like you to take a look at it once. The Football Academy was launched at the end of the year before last with the aim of developing Singaporean children both on and off the field. Many players have gone from being young to being young through daily training and traveling, and I am looking forward to seeing some professional players emerge from here as soon as possible. I feel that it will have a great impact on our activities from this year onwards. It is a pleasure for the club to see the children at the soccer school and cheerleading school grow little by little. I want you to increase what you can do step by step and enjoy soccer and cheerleading more and more. Also, when I see the children watching the game with pure eyes and cheering loudly, it is not an exaggeration to say that tears fill my eyes. At the same time, you will have the courage to say, “I will do it!” thank you for always!
Yuhua Albirex Football Academy (YAFA). Activities during Covid have been very difficult, but little by little we have been able to return to our previous activities. I think it is very important for the children in my hometown Yuhua to be physically active and to feel a sense of sociality through soccer. We are able to continue this activity thanks to the understanding of Yuhua and the cooperation of many volunteers. thank you.
Our slogan has remained unchanged since 2008, “The reason.” It includes the meaning of expressing the reason why each of us is here and why we are here. As we celebrate our 20th anniversary this year, we will continue to express “The reason.” to Singapore, which has welcomed Albirex, and to Niigata, our roots. Please stay tuned.
