Announcing the results of the 47th Japan Post Bank Idea Piggy Bank Contest About half of the elementary schools nationwide applied! Japan’s largest construction competition

Each award (240 points) such as the “Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award” has been decided from about 530,000 participating works!
-From the end of December 2022, exhibitions of 240 prize-winning works will be held at six locations nationwide-
Japan Post Bank Co., Ltd. (2-3-1 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Director, President and CEO Norito Ikeda) held the 47th Japan Post Bank Idea Piggy Bank Contest. We had children participate.
The contest, held with the aim of developing children’s plastic creativity and developing an interest in saving money through the creation of piggy banks, has been a standard craft project in elementary schools for more than 45 years since 1975. It is popular as The final screening will be held in Tokyo on November 29, 2022 (Tuesday), and from among the submitted works, the final screening of the excellent works (240 points) selected in the first screening will be conducted, and the “Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award” , “Japan Post Bank Award”, “Japan Post Bank Award” (6 people each), “Judge Special Award” (3 people), and “Wonderful Design Idea Award” (219 people).

“Money-kun Plays! Metal Amusement Park”
The winning works will be exhibited at 6 locations nationwide (see the list below) from December 28, 2022 (Wednesday).
In addition, Japan Post Bank will donate a total of 5,342,790 yen to the Japan Committee for UNICEF, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and JOICFP.
Donations will be used for support activities for children suffering from poverty and illness in developing countries.

[Competition Overview]
■Purpose of Japan Post Bank Idea Piggy Bank Contest
The Japan Post Bank Idea Piggy Bank Contest is designed to develop children’s plastic creativity through the creation of piggy banks. Our goal is to get you interested in saving.
This competition is one of the largest in Japan as a nationwide construction competition.
In addition, Japan Post Bank will donate 10 yen per participant to the Japan Committee for UNICEF, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and JOICFP to improve living standards and protect the environment in developing countries and regions. It is used to support activities for education.
This contest can be used for the following purposes.
・As one of the work tasks
・As a modeling education for children
・As financial education for children (teaching the importance of saving) ・As an opportunity to convey to children the significance of donating (looking at the world, supporting children around the world) The theme is free. Emphasis is placed on children’s original ideas. There is also the aspect of comprehensive learning, in which the knowledge and skills acquired are used to improve the ability to be useful in daily life.
