The Children’s Budget Committee has designed a three-part program for elementary school students to learn about budgets in an
easy-to-understand manner.

After learning about the breakdown and achievements of Japan’s 107 trillion yen national budget, participants will be divided into groups to create a budget proposal for next year under the theme of “How can we make a society where everyone can live comfortably?”

Based on the budget proposals that each group came up with,
presentations will be made to bipartisan lawmakers and Ministry of Finance officials, and budget meetings (debates) will be held among children.
