Background of supporting the children’s cafeteria
This summer, an NPO that runs a children’s cafeteria in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture, asked us to collect donations. Instead of being unable to open children’s cafeterias due to the effects of the new coronavirus, several NPOs are cooperating to launch the “Rikuzen Takata Bento Delivery Project”, so they would like to allocate the money to that activity. Therefore, I was about to develop rice packs with surplus rice due to the corona virus and sell them as return gifts for hometown tax donations, so I decided to donate part of the sales.
However, due to the delay in materials due to the influence of Corona, the essential packed rice will be significantly delayed from the originally scheduled delivery in September, and it will be at the end of the year. It seems that it will not be in time for the busy season of the hometown tax payment, so the rice cannot be consumed, and the children’s cafeteria cannot be supported. Therefore, we decided to put it out as a campaign gift and have as many people as possible eat it. Campaign overview

Originally, it was scheduled to debut in September, but due to the effects of the coronavirus, materials were delayed, and finally arrived on December 26, just before the end of the year. I wonder if hometown tax will be in time…
In such an era, we wanted to do something better together, so Rikuzentakata Regional Promotion Co., Ltd. and From Zero Co., Ltd. decided to plan and share the cost.
The hometown tax system is a four-way system that is good for local governments, good for citizens, good for return gifts business operators, and good for donors.
I believe that this campaign is also good for all four sides: good for rice farmers, good for children’s cafeterias, good for people with disabilities, and good for donors.
