Kasho Sanzen Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Aoba-ku, Sendai City, President: Hidefumi Tanaka), which manufactures and sells Sendai’s famous confectionery “Hagi no Tsuki”, is from Ito En Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Daisuke Honjo). With the cooperation of providing tea leaves, we will launch “Hagi no Shirabe Yuu Japanese Tea” from December 6th (Tuesday).

Hagi style glaze Japanese tea
With the 150th anniversary of the opening of the railway, Kasho Sanzen and Ito En brought together ideas to create a new Tokyo souvenir from Tokyo Station, and proceeded with development based on the use of tea leaves harvested in eastern Japan.
“Sayamacha”, which was specially processed for this project, was blended to create “Hagi-style glaze Japanese tea”. Sayama tea is characterized by its deep flavor.
We aim to create a new Japanese confectionery with sencha, which is more familiar than matcha.
Hagi no Shirabe glaze Japanese tea
A special sencha sauce is added to the center of the checkered chocolate cookie. A langue de chat of sencha, reminiscent of glaze, is applied on top. The harmony of green langue de chat, chocolate, and sauce invites you to the elegant and deep world of Oribe.
