We are pleased to inform you that an engineer employee of Modis has been appointed as Assistant CIO of Yaita City, Tochigi Prefecture. It will be the first time the city has appointed a digital expert from a private company as an assistant to the CIO.
An engineer employee of Modis Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Kenichiro Kawasaki, “Modis”), a group company of the Adecco Group, a global leader in human resource services I am pleased to announce that I have been appointed as Assistant CIO of Yaita City, Tochigi Prefecture. It will be the first time the city has appointed a digital expert from a private company as an assistant to the CIO. Kazuki Akimoto, who is appointed as Assistant CIO of Yaita City, has participated in the practical problem-solving program that our company started in 2019 and has been continuously working on local
problem-solving activities. As a result, from July 1, 2021, I will be assigned to the Digital Strategy Division as a “Regional
Revitalization Entrepreneur*” of the city, and will be involved in the formulation of digital strategies and the development of cultural sports complex facilities using future technology. I have been in charge of planning and proposing demonstration projects. In
recognition of my achievements and efforts to collaborate with local people, I have been appointed as Assistant CIO.
As a digital specialist, Akimoto will continue to collaborate with local people and promote the use of ICT and digital transformation (DX) in the city while making full use of technology, aiming to realize Society 5.0 that Yaita City is aiming for. We will support your efforts.
