Professor Hiroyuki Morikawa, Department of Electrical Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo
Business Creation Graduate University part-time lecturer (subject: ICT technology strategy)
Born in 1965. 1987 Graduated from Department of Electronic
Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Tokyo. In 1992, completed the doctoral course at the same graduate school. Doctor of Engineering. 2006 Professor, Graduate School of Engineering, University of Tokyo.
Engaged in research on IoT (Internet of Things), big data, DX (digital transformation), wireless communication systems, information society design, etc. We aim to provide clear guidelines on what the
information network society should be in the age of big data, and how information and communication technology (ICT) will change future society.
He has received the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers Paper Award (three times), Information Processing Society of Japan Paper Award, DoCoMo Mobile Science Award, Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Award, and Shida Rinzaburo Award. Vice Chairman of the OECD Digital Economy Policy Committee (CDEP), Vice Chairman of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers, Co-Director of the Beyond 5G New Management Strategy Center, Representative Director of the Information Society Design Association, Chairman of the Information and Communication Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. His publications include “Data Driven Economy (Diamond)” and “5G (Iwanami Shinsho)”.
