[International Music/Dance/Entertainment College] Appointed as Ni-Friends, the 1st SNS Supporters of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Niigata.
K-POP Entertainment Department K-POP Dance & Vocal Course students of the NSG Group’s International Music, Dance and Entertainment College were appointed to the 1st batch of SNS supporters Ni-Friends of the Consulate-General of the Republic of Korea in Niigata. We are pleased to inform you that the appointment ceremony was held at the Consulate General on Saturday, June 6th.

Ni-Friends)”, which was publicly recruited in June this year, and was successfully appointed.
In order to make the younger generation who use SNS feel more familiar with Korea, Ni-Friends introduces Korean culture on their own SNS accounts, participates in events hosted by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Niigata, and participates in SNS. We will do activities such as updating the situation.
Mr. Nagashima became interested in K-POP when he was a junior high school student, and since then he has been researching not only Korean music but also history, language, and food culture on his own. When I was a high school student, I had the experience of interacting with Korean people at the East Asia Culture City Youth Exchange Meeting sponsored by Niigata City, and now I am learning Korean, dance, and singing at our school. In recognition of that, I was selected as one of the first two Ni-Friends out of many applicants.
Mr. Nagashima said, “I want to send out information that will interest people who don’t know much about Korea or who want to know more about Korea. I’m good at photography and video editing, so I want to make use of this to create easy-to-understand posts and publicize it. I’m talking about my enthusiasm.
As soon as the Niigata-Incheon direct flight resumes, Ni-Friends will also visit Korea, so it is expected that information will be disseminated from the local area in the future.

Hikari Nagashima, K-POP Entertainment Department
Our school has cooperated and participated in many events such as the “Korea-Japan Hangawi Festival in Niigata 2022” and the “Online Korean Culture Experience Class” sponsored by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Niigata. Many students studying in the K-POP Entertainment Department have never actually been to Korea due to the corona crisis, but through events like this, they are deepening their understanding of Korea.

In addition, there is the only department in Japan where you can learn K-POP, “K-POP Entertainment Department”, and students who want to learn K-POP gather from all over the country.
