◆Overview
With the support of Okayama University and Okayama University Hospital, volunteer experts from Okayama Prefecture who are involved in infection control conducted an analysis of the infection status and medical care provision system in Okayama Prefecture using the data published on the Okayama Prefecture website. (An analysis update is planned once a week).
In addition, it is expressed in an easy-to-understand manner with reference to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s “Analysis and Comprehensive Comments on the Latest Monitoring Items”.
With the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic and repeated declarations of a state of emergency in Japan, we would like to take this opportunity to ascertain the status of the infection and medical care systems in Okayama Prefecture, as well as for your reference on infection prevention measures. I would appreciate it if you could be.
◆ Analysis of infection status and medical care delivery system [as of December 14, 2022 (Wednesday)]
-Infection status-

The number of new positives is 856 per 100,000 population, and the rate of increase is rapidly increasing. Clusters at medical
institutions and facilities for the elderly are occurring frequently. The number of new positive cases is also increasing nationwide. In the future, it is necessary to pay attention to the decline of immunity, the activation of socioeconomic activities, and the trends in the number of infected people due to new mutations.
Seasonal influenza is also increasing, and preparations such as vaccination and purchase of antigen test kits are necessary in anticipation of a simultaneous epidemic.
