◆Overview
The Faculty of Letters, National University Corporation Okayama University (Headquarters: Tsushima Naka, Kita-ku, Okayama City; President: Hiroshi Makino) is implementing the Faculty of Letters Project Research “Image Humanities”.
This time, the screening of the documentary film “Seeking the Horizon of Community” and the director’s talk will be held on December 22, 2022 (Thursday) from 18:00 to 21:00 at the Okayama University General Education Building on the Tsushima Campus of Okayama University. To do.
The photographer and music critic Iseo Nose, who made this film in 1975, runs the live house PEPPERLAND near Okayama University and has witnessed the changes at Okayama University. This film explores hope for human salvation through the life and words of a German language instructor, Masaru Ogiwara, at a time when Okayama University was in the midst of university disputes.It was screened at the 1995 Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival. rice field.
